This study is justified by the persistent mismatch between the demands of today’s labor market and the soft skills that university graduates are able to develop. The main objective was to conduct a relational analysis between the key soft skills required by the labor sector and those possessed by university students, in order to identify points of convergence or divergence based on the results obtained. The scope of the study lies in its potential to inform curriculum review processes, the design of educational policies, and the development of innovative pedagogical practices aimed at training well-rounded, competent, and socially responsible professionals. The research was carried out using a quantitative, non-experimental, correlational methodology, applying multiple surveys and relational analysis to identify significant links between the variables under study. The main conclusion indicates that this mismatch not only affects graduates’ employability, but also limits their capacity to adapt, reinvent themselves, and assume a transformative role within their professional and social contexts.
