Use of digital resources to strengthen motivation and oral comprehension in Early Childhood Education

The purpose of this study was to design a pedagogical proposal based on the use of digital resources to strengthen intrinsic motivation and the development of oral comprehension in early childhood education students. This research arose from the need to renew traditional teaching strategies by incorporating technological tools that spark curiosity from the earliest years. The study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach and an exploratory-descriptive scope. The instruments used included the Revised Narrative Oral Language Test (PLON-R), a direct observation guide, and semi-structured interviews with early childhood educators. The results showed that the integration of digital resources, such as interactive applications and game-based platforms, promotes attention, participation, and comprehension of oral messages in children, as well as enhancing their interest in learning independently. Based on these results, a proposal of activities combining play, creativity, and technology was designed and validated by specialists in pedagogy and early childhood education. The experts highlighted the relevance, clarity, and feasibility of the activities, recognizing their potential to improve teaching practices and foster more active learning. Therefore, it was concluded that the use of interactive digital resources in early childhood education not only stimulates oral comprehension but can also promote intrinsic motivation and the holistic development of children, becoming a key tool for teachers seeking to transform teaching into meaningful and participatory experiences.
