Resumo

O inglês é uma das línguas mais faladas no mundo, e aprendê-lo é crucial para o desenvolvimento pessoal em ambientes acadêmicos, profissionais e de comunicação. Em um mundo globalizado, dominar uma segunda língua permite maior acesso à diversidade cultural e aumenta as oportunidades de emprego. A compreensão auditiva é essencial para compreender e interpretar informações de auditoria, permitindo assim uma comunicação eficaz. No entanto, desenvolver essa habilidade nos estágios iniciais da educação pode ser um desafio significativo. O método Montessori, que se concentra na autonomia e na aprendizagem das crianças, tem se mostrado valioso para o desenvolvimento de habilidades linguísticas. O Equador, 80º colocado no ranking mundial de proficiência em inglês, enfrenta desafios significativos no ensino dessa língua devido à falta de uma estrutura nacional consolidada e aos déficits de ensino e aprendizagem nas instituições públicas de ensino. Esta pesquisa se concentra na compreensão do inglês por meio do método Montessori em crianças do segundo ano do ensino fundamental, uma etapa crucial para o desenvolvimento de habilidades linguísticas. O objetivo é identificar atividades didáticas do método Montessori que favoreçam o desenvolvimento da compreensão auditiva em alunos do segundo ano do ensino fundamental geral da Unidade Educacional Mariscal Sucre. Os resultados sugerem que a integração de elementos lúdicos e visuais ao ensino de inglês pode aprimorar a aquisição da linguagem nos primeiros anos escolares.
