Abstract

Culture is a way of thinking, acting, feeling that requires quality and distinctive representation of an organization. This work aims to analyze the culture and organizational performance in the Arco Iris Educational Unit of the city of Portoviejo in the consecutive periods 2018 and 2019. The methods applied are qualitative-quantitative, the study sample was chosen by sampling no probabilistic for convenience. The technique used was the survey of administrators and teachers of the educational institution. The results show that the institution has an organizational culture well defined by its collaborators, which allows it to achieve objectives and proposed results, its managers generate new challenges so that the projection and desired success are met. It is demonstrated that there is a connection between cultural characteristics and organizational performance indicators such as market participation, innovation, product and service quality, employee satisfaction, although in the variable’s profitability-return of assets and income and sales has been negative This is attributed to the weak economy that the country went through during the years of the study.
