Abstract

The Ch'ol language belongs to the Mayan linguistic family; is the mother tongue of the bilingual region where the community La Esperanza del Provenir is located in the municipality of Tumbalá, Chiapas. To her belongs a group of students of the level of secondary, in the modality of Telesecundaria, who started the work of writing short texts with the development of the strategy "Star of ideas". The observed results allow us to raise two questions Can children read and write using the primitive knowledge they are building and testing? Are the methodological strategies and the evaluation criteria of teachers that facilitate this approach to the children who still do not dominate the logic of the conventional system?
