Update of the Ecuadorian regulations, in the fight for Illegal Fishing Not Declared Not Regulated

The care of the marine habitat is a topic of global interest, which due to illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing is damaging these ecosystems. As an Ecuadorian state to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, the integration of regulations that can execute sustainable fishing is a government duty. The present investigation makes a collection of laws, regulations, agreements and decrees that contribute to the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, its objective is to analyze the synergies with which they are applied by the relevant entities, in coordination with other institutions. The information was collected from official pages, public institutions, the Official Registry of Ecuador and the legal platform "LEXIS. This investigation recognizes the important advances that Ecuadorian legislation has had in the fight against illegal fishing, after having gone from an obsolete fishing regulation, to the new concepts and visions of the care of the hydrobiological resources that inhabit the oceans
