Contribution to authors
RIEMAT uses the CRediT (Contributor Roles taxonomy) methodology to identify the contributions of each author in the editorial process of manuscript preparation. This section must be included at the end of each article in the form of a table. Below is an infographic detailing how the CRediT methodology works. In which the following roles of authorship are contemplated, each author being able to indicate one or more roles
CRediT Taxonomy
The CRediT taxonomy is a system for classifying authorship roles that is being implemented by many scientific publishers to manage more precisely the contribution in the publication of research. This system identifies the specific role of each author within the research articles, assigning to each one the corresponding responsibilities and omitting those that do not apply. The authorship roles are presented in the following order:
1. Conceptualization: Development of ideas and general objectives of the research.
2. Data curation: Data management and processing, including annotation, cleaning, and preparation for future use.
3. Formal analysis: Use of statistical, mathematical or computational techniques for data analysis.
4. Fund Acquisition: Obtaining the necessary funding for the research project.
5. Research: Execution of experiments or data collection.
6. Methodology: Development of the methodological design and creation of research models.
7. Project administration: Coordination and management of research activities.
8. Resources: Provision of materials and tools necessary for the research.
9. Software: Development and programming of the required computer codes and algorithms.
10. Supervision: Leadership and guidance in the planning and execution of the research.
11. Validation: Verification of the replicability of the results or experiments.
12. Visualization: Design and presentation of the data and results of the study.
13. Writing - original draft: Preparation of the initial manuscript, including substantive translations if applicable.
14. Writing - revision and editing: Critical revision and editing of the manuscript, both before and after publication.
Each role is defined to clarify individual contributions and ensure correct attribution in the scientific output. At the end of the Article template, the role of each author should be indicated following the CRediT taxonomy.
