In order to minimize inbreeding within the Revista de Investigaciones en Energía, Medio Ambiente y Tecnología (RIEMAT), the editorial staff has decided to consider a proportion of 80% of articles with external affiliation to the Universidad Técnica de Manabí, that is to say, only 20% of internal research will be accepted in its publications, for each published issue.
