Do you need a username and password for the Journal of Research in Energy, Environment and Technology (RIEMAT)?
Go to Registration
To submit an article, you must have a user account and be registered as an Author. User accounts to be created must be filled out all fields with an asterisk next to them (Username; Password; Repeat Password; First Name; Last Name; Email) are required. Your username and email address must be unique; furthermore, while you may change your email address at a later date, you will not be able to change your username.
The author is requested to upload a submission file and to provide metadata or indexing information (metadata improves searchability for online research and for the journal). The author can upload supplementary files, in the form of datasets, journal standard acceptance letters, checklist, editable figures and tables, (optional, research tools or source texts that will enrich the article). The author can track the submission through the review and editing process by logging into the journal's website.

Types of articles
The types of items that may be considered for inclusion are:
- Original scientific articles: They present unpublished results of empirical or experimental research.
- Review articles: Analyze and synthesize relevant information from various sources on a specific topic, providing an updated state of the art.
- Methodological articles: Describe and discuss new methodologies, techniques or approaches applicable to research in the area of interest of the journal.
General guidelines
Use the RIEMAT author guidelines described as Article Template and guidelines for preparing your articles (Main Guidelines).
Excessive use of italics and bold within the text should be avoided.
Work organization
Articles submitted for publication should include the title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English. Also, add the name of the authors and ORCID identifier. Authors are required to use the article template, fill out the authors' acceptance letter and the review list, and follow in detail the main guidelines for Authors.
Likewise, locate the main affiliation of each of the authors, indicating the faculty or department, university or research institution. City (postal code), country; in Spanish. In the name of the authors, the first name, middle name and last name are recommended. The e-mail address for correspondence should be indicated for one of the authors and will appear in the article.
Presentation:
Title (Spanish)/Title (English) - Must be concise and informative.
Authorship and co-authorship: The first author of an article is the main author and assumes intellectual responsibility for the work. Generally, he/she is in charge of correspondence with the editor and of adapting the text to the reviewers' comments. The other authors will appear in order of responsibility for the work, although this decision is made by the authors themselves and should follow the stipulations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), taking into account: conception and design, acquisition of data, analysis and interpretation, drafting of the article, and review of the article. A maximum of 7 authors per original will be accepted, considering the complexity of the topic and the length of the paper.
Authors who do not have this personal indicator can register at https://orcid.org/register. or you can previously watch the video to learn how to do it ORCID creation video. Each ORCID profile should contain at least: biography, academic degrees, professional experiences and scientific publications (if any); works in which the authors do not have complete information in ORCID will not be accepted.
Abstract: It should not exceed 250 words in the Spanish version and the corresponding amount in the English version. It should cover exactly what is presented in simple and direct language: objective, scope of the study, methodology, main results and conclusions. Abbreviations and references should not be used and it should be written in past tense.
Keywords: These are short phrases, related to the content of the article, which are used for inclusion in indexes or databases and allow their selection when performing a bibliographic search. It is recommended to use the UNESCO Thesaurus available at: http://vocabularies.unesco.org/e include between 4 and 6 keywords at the end of the abstract for both versions: Spanish and English, separated by semicolons.
Body of the document:
It will vary depending on the type of study performed. For essays, the structure is: Introduction, Methodology, Development, Conclusions and Bibliographical References. In the case of articles it will follow: Introduction, Methodology/Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Bibliographical References.
Introduction: The introduction should provide a clear description of the background, a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the topic, the proposed approach or solution, and the new value of the research, which is innovation. It should be understandable to colleagues from a wide range of scientific disciplines. Explain the research in chronological form, including the research design and procedure. The description of the course of the research should be supported by references, so that the explanation can be scientifically accepted.
The introduction is the presentation of the rest of the article. It should explain the reason for the study, explain to the reader why the research was initiated and what the work contributes with respect to others; that is to say, the necessary background to place the topic in the context of past and present literature; showing, in a logical and pertinent sequence, the corresponding citations and references, emphasizing the updated ones. The problem to be solved must be stated, explaining the objective followed.
Methodology (materials and methods): The type of study conducted is stated, as well as the methods used with sufficient detail, so that a person with experience in the subject, if desired, can repeat the study.
Results: Based on the objective of the study, the results that are really interesting for the reader should be selected and presented in an orderly fashion. Tables and figures can be used for better understanding, which should be numbered in order of appearance in the text and include a brief explanatory legend at the bottom.
Discussion - It takes into account the answer to the research question or problem posed in the introduction. It should be related to the existing literature, following the relevant theoretical aspects with the corresponding citation. Except for historical studies, 80% of the citations should correspond to the last 5 years prior to the study presented. Each citation should have the reference in the corresponding section. The most general results, novelty, strengths and weaknesses, practical or scientific implications and suggestions for future research are interpreted.
Photos and figures can be used, they must be sharp. They will then be processed with an image editor to comply with the standard.
Both figures and tables (must be editable) must be centered to the width of the page and can occupy the full width or even the entire page (vertically or horizontally). Tables should not have backgrounds of any kind and should only be in black and white.
Conclusion: It allows measuring the contribution made by the work to the area of knowledge in a succinct manner in correspondence with the objective outlined. A good conclusion should include a statement that what is expected, as indicated in the "Introduction" section, may finally result in the "Analysis and Discussion of Results" section, so that there is compatibility. In addition, the perspective of the development of the research results and the prospects for the application of further studies in the future (based on the results and discussion) can also be added.
Articles should be clear, precise and logical and normally should not exceed 4,000 words, with a maximum length of 16 pages, including tables, figures and bibliographical references.
Tables and figures are presented in the center and should be shown inserted as editable.
In the analysis and discussion of results section, the results should be explained and at the same time a complete discussion is given.
The author must provide at least 15 references. Use of tools such as EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero for reference management and formatting, and choice of APA style 7 seventh edition.
Please note that any article that does not meet our requirements will be returned to the author for modification. The editors will only consider articles that are submitted in the correct style.
