File_System
RIEMAT uses the Open Journal System (OJS), which is compatible with the digital archival preservation services LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). These services allow documents to be stored, preserved and restored, as well as distributed to libraries; it is also possible to store and distribute journal content to participating libraries. In addition, articles from each issue of the journal are stored in the Internet Archive in pdf format, a digital library that provides free access to researchers, academics and the general public.
Lockss System
This journal uses the open source LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system as it allows libraries to curate selected web journals by regularly searching registered journals to collect newly published content and archive it. Each archive is continuously validated against records from other libraries, so any damaged or lost content can be restored using those records or the journal itself.
Clockss System
This journal also uses CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) which is based on the open source Lockss system, this allows libraries to preserve chosen web journals by regularly checking registered journal websites for recently published content and archiving it. Each archive is constantly validated against other library caches and, if it is detected that content has been corrupted or lost, the other caches or the journal are used to restore it.
In digital archive preservation policies published documents files are stored in Google Drive hosting services and on local media.
To generate the metadata of the documents it uses DublinCore metatags.
The journal will only use the names and e-mail addresses of users' records on the platform exclusively for the purposes established therein and will not provide them to third parties or use them for other purposes. In addition to this, it is hereby stated for the record that it does not charge for the receipt, processing and publication of articles.
