Bibliographic references:

Regarding bibliographic references, the specific guidelines of the APA 7th edition are followed. This includes the non-italicization of the addition "et al", the preferable presence of DOI in all references or in their default URL, and in-text citation of all sources listed. In addition, a minimum requirement of 10 references is established for original scientific or methodological articles, and 20 references in review articles, in all cases the references must correspond to 70% of scientific articles. Limiting the use of references from web pages or non-academic material is encouraged. The use of reference management software such as Zotero, EndNote or Mendeley is suggested. Special consideration is given to the inclusion of RIEMAT journal articles among the references cited.

Formats:

In terms of formatting, italics are used to emphasize the text, except in URL addresses. Figures, tables and equations are numbered with Arabic numerals and begin with the words "Figure 1", "Table 1", "Equation 1" in bold, with the first capital letter and the complete word. Each figure carries a title centered at the bottom, followed by the source on the back line with the format "Source: Authors or the reference from which the figure was obtained." Similarly, each table has a title centered at the top, followed by the source on the back line in the above format. Figures, tables and equations are placed after their first mention in the text, and large figures and tables may extend across both columns. It is imperative that figures, tables and equations with 100% view are completely legible.
