10 years since the earthquake of April 16, 2016
RIEMAT Journal – Technical University of Manabí

As part of the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the April 16, 2016 earthquake, the Journal of Research in Engineering, Environment, and Technology (RIEMAT) of the Technical University of Manabí invites researchers, teachers, professionals, and students to submit scientific articles for its special commemorative volume.

This special issue aims to promote rigorous scientific analysis of the impacts, geodynamic processes, structural damage, territorial responses, and technical lessons learned from this seismic event, emphasizing the role of engineering and geology in disaster risk reduction, reconstruction, and resilient territorial development.

Scope and thematic areas
Manuscripts should fall within the field of engineering and applied geology and may address the following research areas:

Editorial guidelines
* Original and unpublished articles.
* Length: 8 to 12 pages, in accordance with the official format (template) of the RIEMAT journal.
* Double-blind peer review process.

Submission of articles
Articles must be submitted via the official RIEMAT journal platform, complying with current editorial standards and the mandatory use of the institutional template.
