Psychopedagogical strategies to improve semantic memory and sustained attention in students with specific educational needs

La investigación analizó la efectividad de estrategias psicopedagógicas orientadas al mejoramiento de la memoria semántica y la atención sostenida en estudiantes con necesidades educativas específicas, en coherencia con el enfoque de educación inclusiva. Con la finalidad de determinar el impacto de un programa estructurado sobre ambas funciones cognitivas y su contribución al aprendizaje escolar. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño cuasi experimental de tipo pretest–postest con grupo control no equivalente. La muestra estuvo conformada por setenta y dos estudiantes de Educación General Básica Media y Superior en tres instituciones fiscales urbanas, distribuidos en grupo experimental y grupo control. Para tales efectos, se utilizaron pruebas estandarizadas que evaluaban categorización conceptual, fluidez semántica y vigilancia atencional, lográndose identificar una relación positiva entre ambas variables tras la intervención realizada. Se concluyó que la aplicación planificada de estrategias psicopedagógicas fundamentadas en evidencia neurocognitiva fortaleció procesos esenciales para el aprendizaje y constituyó una alternativa viable para optimizar la respuesta educativa dirigida a estudiantes con necesidades educativas específicas.
