Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility aims to create value for the company and its stakeholders through economic, social and environmental development, that is, it seeks to enhance the corporate image internally and externally in the long term. For this reason, this research work aims to design a proposal for Corporate Social Responsibility strategies from an environmental management perspective for a commercial SME (small and medium-sized company) located in the city of Perote, Veracruz, Mexico. To achieve this, the methodological approach was based on a qualitative study, with a descriptive and explanatory scope based on a structured interview for the business owner and a survey of 10 multiple-choice questions for the 40 workers of the organization. It was obtained as results that the SME was unaware of the actions of Corporate Social Responsibility that it can carry out to improve its corporate image through commitment and environmental responsibility. As a result, the design of the proposal was based on 10 improvement strategies to help improve the environment.
