Peer Review Process
The Journal of Humanistic and Social Sciences, (ReHuSo) ensures a review process of the submitted originals that adheres to the principles of objectivity, non-discrimination, and scientific quality.
The journal conducts a double-blind peer review of the submitted originals. The review process is two-phased: first, a pre-review of the originals by the editorial team to assess acceptance, modification, or rejection. Once an article is accepted in this phase, it undergoes anonymous evaluation by two external reviewers specialized in the subject matter, with all author-identifying information removed. In case of discrepancies, a third evaluator is consulted. All reviewers have public evaluation criteria on this platform. Acceptance or rejection of each work is based on a motivated decision in accordance with these reviewers. The editor of ReHuSo ensures the selection of the most qualified and scientifically specialized reviewers to provide a critical and expert appraisal of the work with minimal bias. This ensures the academic quality of the manuscripts through an objective, balanced, and fair review.
Plagiarism Detection
The Editorial Committee of the ReHuSo journal is responsible for identifying the levels and percentages of similarity of the texts submitted for publication compared to openly accessible information. If an article does not meet the requirements, it can be rejected or returned to the authors for correction. Once this process is concluded, a "receipt letter" is issued to the authors, as proof of receipt of their article, which then enters the peer-review process. For this process, a license is available on the Urkund platform (rehuso.utm@analysis.urkund.com).
Confidentiality
The editor of the ReHuSo journal ensures the confidentiality of the manuscripts submitted in the review process, removing all author-identifying information before being sent for double-blind evaluation.
Conflict of Interest
The editor of the ReHuSo journal must ensure that there is no conflict of interest (financial, institutional, collaborative, or other types) between the reviewer and the authors.

Format
Single column, single spacing, leaving space between paragraph, subtitle, and text. A4 size paper in Word (21 cm wide by 29.7 cm long) in portrait format, with 2 cm margins on each side, bottom and top. The font to be used is Times New Roman, size 12 for the entire article, except for titles in Spanish and English, which will be Times New Roman size 14. Paragraphs are distinguished and separated by a blank space. No type of symbol or bullet should be used. Tables and figures from analysis equipment, control instruments, or similar, which do not meet the standards of clarity, sharpness, and simplicity, should not be included. Articles in their final version will be published in PDF, HTML, and XML formats.
Changes in Editing
The editor reserves the right, and it is accepted by the author(s) by simply submitting the article, to make modifications for the purpose of achieving a better presentation. These may include some variation in the title, abstract, keywords, figures, tables, and text; as well as the elimination of incomplete references, among other issues, that affect the quality of the article and not the essence of the work submitted by the authors.

By simply submitting the works, the authors grant "copyright" to the journal. Therefore, the submitted works should not have copyrights assigned to third parties as of the date of submission. The concepts and opinions expressed in the published articles and their use by others are the exclusive responsibility of the authors. The granting of copyright to the journal is for the purposes of dissemination and diffusion of scientific activity, and in no case does it affect the intellectual property of the same. Organization of Work
The articles sent for publication must include the title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English. Also, add the name of the authors and the ORCID identifier. Authors who lack this personal indicator can register at https://orcid.org/register. Likewise, locate the main affiliation of each with an email address, indicating the faculty or department, university, or research institution. City (Postal Code), country; in Spanish. In the name of the authors, it is recommended to use the first name, initial of the second, and surnames.
Presentation:
Title (Spanish)/Title (English).- It should be concise and informative.
Authorship and Co-authorship.- The first author of an article is the main author and assumes the intellectual responsibility of the work. They are generally responsible for correspondence with the editor and adapting the text to the reviewers' comments. The rest of the authors will appear in order of responsibility in the work, although this decision is up to the authors themselves and must follow what is stipulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), taking into account: conception and design, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, writing of the article, and review of the article. A maximum of 5 authors per original will be accepted, considering the complexity of the topic and the length of the work.
Abstract.- It should not exceed 250 words in the Spanish version, and the corresponding amount in the English version. It should cover exactly what is presented in simple and direct language: objective, scope, of the study conducted, methodology, main results, and conclusions. Abbreviations and references should not be used.
Keywords.- These are short phrases related to the content of the article, used for inclusion in indices or databases and allow for selection when conducting bibliographic searches. It is recommended to use the UNESCO Thesaurus available at: http://vocabularies.unesco.org/ and include between 4 and 6 keywords, at the end of the summary for both versions: Spanish and English, separated by semicolons.
Body of the Document:
This will vary depending on the type of study conducted. For essays, the structure is: Introduction, Methodology, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliographic References. For articles, the following structure will be followed: Introduction, Methodology/Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and Bibliographic References.
Introduction.- It is the presentation of the rest of the article. It should justify the reason for the study, explaining to the reader why the research was initiated and what the work contributes compared to others; that is, the necessary background that allows the topic to be placed in the context of past and present literature, showing, in a logical and relevant sequence, the corresponding citations and references, emphasizing the most updated ones. The problem that was attempted to be solved should be stated, explicitly stating the objective that was followed.
Methodology (materials and methods).- The type of study conducted and the methods used should be declared with sufficient detail so that a person with experience in the topic, if desired, can repeat the study.
Results.- Based on the objective of the study, the results that are really interesting for the reader should be selected and presented in an organized manner. Tables and figures can be used for better comprehension; they should be numbered according to their order of appearance in the text and include a brief explanatory legend at the bottom.
Photos and figures can be used. If these have been obtained through a scanner or other electronic equipment, they must be clear. They will then be processed with an image editor to comply with the standard.
Both figures and tables should be centered to the width of the page and can occupy the full width and even the whole page (vertical or horizontal format). Tables should not have any kind of background and should only be in black and white.
Discussion.- This takes into account the response to the research question or problem posed in the introduction. It should be related to existing literature, following relevant theoretical aspects with the corresponding citation. Except for historical studies, 80% of the citations should correspond to the last 5 years prior to the study being presented. Each citation must have the reference in the corresponding section. The more general results, novelty, strengths and weaknesses, practical or scientific implications, and suggestions for future research are interpreted.
- This allows measuring the contribution that the work makes to the field of knowledge succinctly in correspondence with the outlined objective.
For both essays and articles, the use of sections must respect that each section title is written centered, in uppercase letters, without underlining, numbering, or final dot. Subtitles, too, will be left-aligned, should be written in lowercase except for the first letter, and the first letter of proper names should be written in uppercase. There should be a space between lines before and after each subtitle. Titles following each other without connecting text are not accepted.
Funding Statement
If applicable, establish a section for acknowledgments where the sources of funding for the research (grants from public research programs, scholarships, sponsorship from private companies, etc.) are declared. Authors are suggested to identify the source of funding and/or acknowledgment if applicable.
Citations and References
The APA format, latest edition, is followed. The word "Bibliography" should not be used as a synonym for "References". A minimum of 15 references for research articles and essays will be considered. In the case of a review article, the minimum number of references is 23. Include the DOI in all possible cases.
If there are notes, they will not go at the foot of the page, but as a separate section before the references section.

Submission of Works
The complete text of the works, including figures and tables, must be sent via the platform and by email in two formats: PDF, .DOC, and .DOCX (e.g., Microsoft Word formats) that are editable (editors and publishers can edit text, figures, and photographs). The work must be sent as a single file, from the first to the last page. Figures, tables, or sections in separate files are not accepted. Along with the work, authors must send the Declaration of Originality and Assignment of Authors' Rights (document attached in the About / About the Journal section) which includes the ethical commitment previously mentioned. Once the work is accepted for publication, authors will be notified.
Evaluation
Submitted works undergo two review processes: editorial and peer review. The editor and the editorial committee review the manuscript to verify compliance with standards, structure, documentation, recent literature, and general content. If the work passes the first editorial review, it is sent to specialized referees (peer review), who determine its quality, rigor, adherence to standards, and scientific contribution. If the work does not pass the first evaluation, the authors will be informed, and it will be considered that it has not entered the second evaluation (it is not rejected). This will be related to problems in structure, poor documentation, incomplete sections, or other aspects that will be conveyed to the authors for the necessary rectification and submission of a corrected version. If the corrected version is acceptable, the text enters the peer review process. If the authors do not wish or cannot make the indicated modifications, it will be considered withdrawn.
Communication with Authors
Contact with the authors will be maintained whenever there is something important to convey. Communication will be made with the contact author. The entire process, from receipt to acceptance decision, will take less than 60 days, and the time between acceptance and publication will not exceed 90 days.
Please also consider reviewing the templates, where it is noted that:
On the first page, only the title of the article and the authors are placed. Therefore, from the second page onwards, the abstract is placed, taking into account:
Length: the length of the article, including title, abstracts, descriptors, tables, and references, should be between 12 and 16 pages.
Document: the work to be presented must be in Word format for PC.
Authors: the number of authors must be justified by the topic, its complexity, and its length, with 4 being the maximum number.
Title: must not exceed 15 words. It should also be centered and in Times New Roman 12-point font with bold, be precise and descriptive, and should not have abbreviations or acronyms.
Body Text: the font should be Times New Roman 12. Spacing 1.15 and Justified
Structure: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, and References.
Sections and Subsections: The titles of the sections in 16-point Times New Roman with bold and subsections in 14-point should also be in bold Times New Roman Centered. Subsections should be sequentially numbered.
Legends for Figures and Tables: Times New Roman font, size 12, centered, single spaced.
