The present research explores the variable of job stress in relation to fundamental dimensions of remote work, such as: physical space, information and communication technologies, and organizational change. It is considered that perceived stress could have a direct influence on the performance of librarians' functions in a new work context, so this review could help to identify the needs of librarians to be able to sustain activities in virtual modality with timely scheduling of tasks, as well as compliance with minimum conditions to ensure mental health care at work.
