Smart greenhouse adoption in Mexico is constrained by the cost of commercial solutions and by limited digital infrastructure in rural areas. This study presents the design and implementation of a low-cost scale prototype for automated greenhouse climate monitoring intended for low-growing crops. The system integrates DHT22, FC-28, and MQ-7 sensors, an Arduino Uno board, a Raspberry Pi 3B as a local server, and a web interface developed with Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with data storage in MySQL. The evaluation was qualitative and focused on verifying sensor readings, data transmission, database logging, and real-time visualization through a web dashboard. The results indicate functional feasibility under laboratory conditions; however, quantitative tests, comparative controller evaluation, and an economic analysis are still required to validate performance under real operating conditions.
