Anti-plagiarism Policy

La Técnica: Revista de las Agrociencias of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí, Ecuador, is committed to promoting integrity and ethics in scientific research. To this end, it has established the following anti-plagiarism policy, which applies to all works submitted for consideration by the journal.

Objective

The objective of this policy is to guarantee that the works published in the journal are original and do not contain plagiarism.

Definition

Plagiarism is the presentation of a work as one's own when it has been copied from another source without proper citation. Plagiarism can be of two types:

- Textual plagiarism: The literal copying of text from another source without proper citation.

- Plagiarism of ideas: The appropriation of ideas or concepts from another source without proper citation.

Responsibilities

All authors, reviewers and editors of the journal are responsible for avoiding plagiarism.

Procedure

All papers submitted to the journal will be submitted to a plagiarism detection process. This process is carried out using the Compilatio plagiarism detection software.

If the plagiarism detection software detects plagiarism in a paper, the editorial team will contact the author for an explanation. If the author cannot provide a satisfactory explanation, the paper will be rejected.

Penalties

Authors who commit plagiarism may be sanctioned with the following measures:

- Rejection of the paper.

- Publication of a retraction note.

- Suspension or expulsion from the journal.

Implementation

The journal is committed to implementing this anti-plagiarism policy effectively. To this end, the journal will take the following steps:

- Training: The editorial team will receive periodic training on plagiarism detection.

- Communication: The journal will communicate the anti-plagiarism policy to all authors, reviewers and readers.

- Monitoring: The editorial team will monitor compliance with the anti-plagiarism policy.

Periodic Review

The journal will periodically review this anti-plagiarism policy to ensure that it remains appropriate to the journal's objectives.

Audits

The journal La Técnica de las Agrociencias will undergo periodic audits to ensure that it complies with its anti-plagiarism policy. These audits will be conducted by an independent body.
