During the teaching-learning process, we contribute to the creation of a participatory environment, in which the relationship between the Fundamental Cores of Knowledge (NFC) of Physics and Aspects of the Professional Profile (APP) of the Engineer appears as a key factor for the student's motivation, providing some basis for the formation of competent professional. The experience begins in the careers of Technical Science, which are conducted at Orient’s University. Its students receive an orientation to develop independent work. The investigation deals with the APP of an engineer, related to certain NFC of Physics. Through these works, the link between the professional way of performance and Physics favors a better visualization of this discipline in the syllabus. It also explains a model that illustrates some pairs of relationships between APP and NFC. On its basis, we find the independent work of the student as a spinal cord in the construction of knowledge.
