Efectos post pandemia en el desempeño del sector industrial textil ecuatoriano de ropa liviana: periodo 2020-2021

En la pandemia Covid 19, el sector textil, abordó con desigual efectividad su producción y venta, enfrentando el desafío de crear nuevos productos, y hacer frente a problemas de abastecimiento, confinamiento y esfuerzo por permanecer en el mercado, pues el uso de prendas livianas se redujo significativamente. El objetivo del estudio es analizar los efectos postpandemia, en el desempeño del sector industrial textil de ropa liviana, periodo 2020-2021 en Ecuador, mediante enfoque mixto, análisis documental de datos oficiales, y aplicación de la prueba estadística T o test de media, que permitió determinar las ventas del sector. Los principales hallazgos establecen notable impacto, con decrecimiento de ventas, sumado, falta de apoyo e incentivos por parte del gobierno, a diferencia de lo actuado con otros sectores, además, la competencia de productos importados a bajo costo, ocasionando una represión que provocó que la balanza comercial se desestabilice y existan pocas alternativas compensatorias.
