Design and Usability of an App for Teaching the Phases of the Cell Cycle

In the current educational context, mobile applications have emerged as innovative tools that transform teaching and learning. This research focuses on the design and usability of a mobile application aimed at teaching the phases of the cell cycle through the use of augmented reality (A.R). The hypothesis guiding this study posits that an application designed with a user-centered approach will enhance students' understanding and interest in complex topics such as the cell cycle. To achieve this objective, a mixed-methods methodology was implemented, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, including surveys and usability tests. The results indicate that the application is positively perceived by students, suggesting that the user-centered design is effective in facilitating learning. However, areas for improvement were also identified, which could further optimize the user experience.
