AquaTechnica (ISSN 2737-6095) initiated its editions in 2019 as a dissemination instrument aimed at the scientific community in general interested in aquaculture, with free access and no publication charges. It disseminates original scientific and technical contributions in aquaculture, the product of research mainly carried out in Latin America but not limited to it. The publication options are original articles, notes or short communications, essays, reviews, and technical manuals written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese.

The magazine's periodicity is quarterly. Each of the three annual issues covers articles processed between January and April (No. 1), May and August (No. 2), and September and December (No. 3). However, the publication modality is continuous within each issue since the articles are published as they are finalized within each time period.

AquaTechnica may also publish special issues from specific topics or academic-scientific aquaculture events. For this, a specific committee would be appointed to evaluate the manuscripts.
