Reviewer Guidelines

Thank you for supporting Informática y Sistemas. Reviewers are essential to the quality of the journal. All reviews follow a double-blind process: reviewers and authors do not know each other's identity.

Before accepting

• Accept only manuscripts within your expertise.
• Declare any conflict of interest with the authors or the topic.
• Respond to the invitation within 7 days and submit your review within 21 days.

What to evaluate

• Originality and relevance to the journal's scope.
• Methodological rigor and reproducibility.
• Consistency between results, discussion, and conclusions.
• Clarity of writing in English and quality of figures and tables.
• Relevance, timeliness, and correct citation of references.

Recommendation

Select one of the following options in the review form:

• Accept Submission: publishable as it is.
• Revisions Required: minor changes, checked by the editor without a new review.
• Resubmit for Review: major changes that require a new review round.
• Resubmit Elsewhere: outside the scope of the journal.
• Decline Submission: not publishable.

Ethical responsibilities

• Keep the manuscript confidential and do not share it.
• Do not upload the manuscript to generative AI tools.
• Suggest citations to your own work or to this journal only when scientifically justified.
• Write constructive and respectful comments.
