Policies, approach and scope
The PSIDIAL Magazine: Psychology and Dialogue of Knowledge, is a scientific magazine that was born in the context of the search for academic excellence of the Technical University of Manabí, where the socialization of the results of scientific research as a quality parameter constitutes a fundamental pillar. .
It constitutes a space, with a semiannual periodicity and continuous edition, whose issues are published in the periods of January-June and July-December. It plans to be indexed in important bibliographic databases and evaluation systems. It allows the visibility of scientific publications in the field of Psychology and related sciences whose work demonstrates a link with the scientific and professional work of psychological science. Likewise, it promotes the exchange of knowledge with academics and professionals from various contexts, being a source of consultation that encourages the progressive capacity for generating and updating scientific knowledge in the psychological field today.
It is characterized by the efficient and rapid process of evaluating the works it publishes; having scientific, technical and professional rigor as premises.
Its target audience is the scientific community, both national and international, belonging to the field of psychological sciences and other related areas.
The fundamental themes that he promotes in his publications are the following:

MISSION
Publish scientific writings in the form of articles and essays, where the results of scientific research and critical analyzes on topics of interest to psychological science are shown.

To become an efficient and quality medium that constitutes a local, national and international reference for the publication and consultation of significant research results in the field of Psychology and related sciences.

GOAL
Maintain a journal that operates semi-annually, with parameters of demand and quality, which becomes an adequate space to promote the quality of publications in the field of Psychology.

POLICIES FOR AUTHORS:
Original works will be accepted. They will be organized for publication in sections: scientific articles on original empirical studies, theoretical review articles, case studies and scientific essays.
These sections will not always have to be present in all published issues, but will be organized depending on the interests of the Magazine related to showing progress on certain topics. In all cases, works that are characterized by their scientific rigor and scientific originality will be accepted.
The work must demonstrate findings from theoretical, methodological and/or practical studies. Articles in the form of essays are also accepted, where the critical point of view on the topic of interest in the academic and professional field of Psychology prevails.
1. Scientific articles on original empirical studies.
Works that show original results of an empirical nature are considered.
2. Theoretical review articles.
These articles must meet the characteristic of reflecting the detailed, exhaustive and critical study of a topic of interest to psychological science. It must be presented in a coherent manner, guided by the author's criteria that supports his reflections aimed at a defined objective. The combination of preliminary studies on a topic leads to finding new scientific evidence that will be the objective of this type of contributions. It must reflect a detailed examination of the published bibliography consulted, to defend a defined perspective in the research area.
3. Case studies.
They are shorter publications in which results of curious facts, specific discoveries, observations, case studies or results of experiments are presented that do not allow a strong inference to merit an extensive article. Preliminary results of research projects in progress are not accepted, since these will be published in full once completed.
4. Scientific trials.
This section publishes review articles, which do not present original research results, but rather narrative and analytical essays summarized from existing information on specific topics. Authors must present organized sequences of ideas and arguments, which do not passively repeat but rather critically and exploratively the implications of results with important consequences for science, including directly or indirectly the author's own work. These articles do not have to follow the classic structure of a research article.

WORK EVALUATION PROCESS:
The evaluation process of the works consists of two phases: that carried out by the editorial committee of the journal and that corresponding to the expert peer evaluators specialized in the topic in question that the work addresses.
It is up to the editorial committee to previously verify, through the use of plagiarism detection tools, the originality of the article and that it does not reproduce parts or all of another work previously published by another author. Likewise, it will be verified that the standards established by the Journal for the publication of scientific works are met.
Upon completion of the previous phase, the works that meet the preliminary requirements will be assigned by the editor-in-chief of the journal to the general and section editor, who will be in charge in this phase of assigning the review to the expert peer evaluators in the journal. topic in question for review, anonymously. The authors of the works may be consulted in this process, in case pertinent clarifications are required for the understanding of central aspects of the work. They will issue the respective evaluation report which will be evaluated by the editorial committee to make the final decision regarding the approval of the work.
The editorial committee will inform the authors of the result of the evaluation of their proposals, who, if necessary, will count as a period of no more than 21 days from the moment in which the result of the evaluation is notified. If no response is received from the authors, the Editorial Committee rejects the work.
Peer evaluation:
When the article is approved in the initial phase, it goes to the peer review process, in the double-blind modality. The works are submitted to the evaluation of experts on the topics. When there is a positive and a negative response from the experts, the participation of a third party will be requested, on whose response the final acceptance or rejection by the editorial committee will depend.
The final criteria established are the following:
1) Admission unchanged
2) Admission with changes
3) Non-definitive rejection
If the work cannot be modified according to the journal's requirements, but due to its content, it is recommended that it be resubmitted for subsequent publication in another issue of the journal once the reviewers' suggestions are met and it is subjected to a new review process. revision.
4) rejection.
The results will be formally communicated by the editorial committee to the authors and the causes of rejections will be explained to them if they occur. The final result of the evaluation will be final. The total review process and the results regarding its acceptance will not exceed a period of 60 days.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify that the work meets all of the elements shown below. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors:
- The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
- The text has single spacing, Time New Roman font, 12 points; Italics are used instead of underlining (except in URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed within the text, not at the end of it.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Journal's guidelines for authors, found in the respective author template.
- Citation Format (APA Citation, seventh edition). Consult document available to authors).
