The research provides a valuable perspective on the state of psychological well-being in adolescents affected by parental separation. The current study aimed to identify the psychological well-being of 50 adolescents from separated parents in the Pajan canton, using Ryff's Psychological Well-being Scale. Six dimensions were evaluated: self-acceptance, positive relationships, autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, and purpose in life. The overall results showed that the lowest scored categories were low (8%) and high (4%), with the majority of the adolescents grouped in the moderate range (88%). Regarding the dimensions, moderate range scores were observed in self-acceptance (78%) and environmental mastery (64%), while a significant percentage reached high levels in autonomy (88%) and personal growth (92%). These findings underline the need for approaches focused on strengthening areas such as purpose in life, while supporting the areas where adolescents already show strength, to improve their overall well-being in the face of parental separation.
