Author Policy
Original works will be accepted. These will be organized for publication into the following sections: scientific articles based on original empirical studies, theoretical review articles, case studies, and scientific essays.
These sections will not necessarily appear in every issue, as their inclusion will depend on the journal's interests in highlighting advancements in specific topics. In all cases, submitted works must exhibit scientific rigor and originality.
The work must demonstrate findings from theoretical, methodological, and/or practical studies. Essays that emphasize a critical perspective on topics of interest in the academic and professional field of psychology are also accepted.
Articles in Spanish must be submitted using the official Microsoft Word® template, which can be downloaded here.
Articles in English must be submitted using the official Microsoft Word® template, which can be downloaded here.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal for evaluation must include a cover letter, signed by all authors. The template for this document, available in both Spanish and English, can be downloaded here. It must be duly completed, signed, and uploaded in the "Supplementary Files" section of the journal's OJS platform.
1. Scientific Articles on Original Empirical Studies
These include works that present original empirical findings.
2. Theoretical Review Articles
These articles must provide a detailed, comprehensive, and critical examination of a topic of interest in psychological science. They should be coherently presented, guided by the author’s insights, and aimed at a defined objective. A combination of preliminary studies on a subject should lead to identifying new scientific evidence, which will be the focus of this type of contribution. The article should reflect a thorough examination of the consulted and published literature to support a well-defined perspective in the research area.
3. Case Studies
These are shorter publications presenting results from intriguing events, specific discoveries, observations, case studies, or experimental results that do not allow for strong inference warranting a full-length article. Preliminary findings from ongoing research projects are not accepted, as these will be published in full once completed.
4. Scientific Essays
This section publishes review articles that do not present original research results but rather narrative and analytical essays summarizing existing information on specific topics. Authors must present a structured sequence of ideas and arguments, offering a critical and exploratory perspective on the implications of findings with significant consequences for science. These essays may also include direct or indirect references to the authors' previous works. Unlike traditional research articles, these essays do not need to follow the standard structure of a research article.
