Digital Preservation Policy
PSIDIAL: Psicología y Diálogo de Saberes is committed to guaranteeing the long-term preservation of all published digital content, ensuring its accessibility and usability for future generations of researchers, academics and professionals. This policy describes the strategies and measures adopted to preserve the articles and data published in the journal.
Preservation Strategies
- Redundant Storage: All digital content is stored in multiple geographic locations to prevent data loss due to natural disasters, technical failures, or any other catastrophic event. This is achieved through data storage on the Crossref platform, which has servers distributed worldwide. In addition, the works are registered in OpenAire and Google Scholar. use the LOCKSS system to store, preserve and restore documents, as well as distribute to libraries. CLOCKSS is permitted to store and distribute journal content to participating libraries through the CLOCKSS page.
- File formats: Documents are stored in open, standardized formats (e.g. PDF/A for articles, XML for metadata) that ensure long-term compatibility and accessibility.
- Backups: Regular and automatic backup copies of all digital content are made, which are stored in secure and redundant infrastructures. External hard drive and Google Drive storage is used.
- Integrity Check: Regular file integrity checks are implemented to detect and correct data corruption errors. Checksums and other integrity verification techniques are used.
