Abstract

In the process of facilitating learning and acquiring knowledge, creativity plays a preponderant role both for the student to broaden their awareness and perception of the world around them, and for the teacher, since understanding and developing creative thinking are an important part of learning and teaching. students in their creative voices is a big step, the research develops the CREA test application protocol which served to apply it to students from 9 to 11 years of the Campozano de Pajan Educational Unit in order to meet the objective of analyze the importance of creativity in the academic development of children in basic education and verify if it affects the academic performance of the students evaluated, for which a non-experimental, correlational, descriptive and cross-sectional methodology was used, since analyzes a single moment within the study period, which allowed to show the level of creativity that the students have, concluding that the students are in the age range for the application of image C of the CREA test according to the application guide, with which it is concluded that the male and female students on average are in the medium level with an average of 36 which indicates that they do not have developed the capacity for innovation or creativity.
